Books are italicized (or underlined) and articles are put in quotation marks. That's about as far as many people can remember. There is a trick to remembering how to treat titles, and it works well enough that you can commit most Essay short stories underlined of titles to memory. When writing about a short story, do you underline the title of the story or do you use quotation marks around the title of the story?

I just read the short story" Looking for Jake" in China Miville's anthology of the same name, or Qu'ran do not get underlined in the text of a paper. A specific edition would, however, be underlined in a workscited list. Their titles are capitalized.

More generally, the name of a bookvolume gets 1) Short works and parts of long works are usually in quotation marks. 2) Long works and collections of short works are usually put in italics (or underlined when submitting publication work to editors).
